Job summary

Allied Universal in Shepherdsville, KY is seeking a Security Officer (Full Time, Unarmed) to protect people and property at a distribution site. You will patrol, monitor access, and respond to incidents with professional customer service.

The role requires 18+ (21+ for armed roles), a high school diploma, background check, drug screen, and licensing where applicable. Shift is 2:00 PM–10:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background check as required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and delivery personnel while following security procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of distribution areas and surrounding premises.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and report suspicious activity to leadership.
• Respond to incidents calmly and follow post instructions and escalation procedures.
• Document patrols, incidents, and observations accurately in reports and communicate during shift handoffs.

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

• Wed: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Thur: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and delivery personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of distribution areas, loading docks, parking areas, trailer yards, access points, and the business perimeter.
• Monitor access to the location, verify credentials as required, and report unauthorized activity or unusual conditions to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post instructions and escalation procedures.
• Document patrols, incidents, and observations accurately in required reports and communicate relevant information during shift handoffs.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
