Allied Universal is seeking an experienced Security Officer to perform unarmed patrol duties at our Alpharetta, GA location. You will provide exceptional customer service, maintain a strong security presence, and follow site policies while responding to incidents and alarms.

Minimum requirements include 5+ years of security experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to pass background checks and drug screening. This is a full-time role with a pay rate of $18.73 per hour.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of security-related experience.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required under federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required, as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors while following site policies.
• Respond to incidents and alarms in a calm, professional manner per procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of offices, data or equipment areas, parking areas, perimeters to deter incidents.
• Monitor access points and verify visitor/contractor authorization; enforce badge and site procedures.
• Prepare activity, incident, and patrol reports for site leadership and management.

• Thur 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Fri 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sat 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sun 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office spaces, data or equipment areas, parking areas, building perimeters, and other assigned locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and support adherence to site entry, badge, and property‑control procedures.
• Prepare accurate activity, incident, and patrol reports, and communicate observations to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 5+ years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
