Job summary

Allied Universal® is seeking a full-time Security Officer (Unarmed Patrol Driver Observation) in Roseville, CA. You will patrol the distribution facility, deter incidents, and ensure a secure environment while providing excellent customer service to clients, visitors, and employees.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 2+ years in security, and a valid driver’s license. A guard card is preferred; background checks and drug screening are required.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the distribution facility, loading areas, parking lots, access points, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access to the location by observing entry and exit activity, verifying credentials as directed, and documenting visitor, contractor, and vehicle information.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and complete required reports.
• Observe package handling, trailer movement, and facility operations for security-related concerns, and communicate observations to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

What You’ll Do

Minimum Requirements

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
