Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Deterrence in Rancho Cordova, CA. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, monitor areas, and provide exceptional customer service while representing a dynamic, reliable organization.

This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 18+ years old, background check and pre-employment drug screen. Prior customer service is preferred and a guard card or license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of distribution areas, loading docks, parking areas, access points, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access to the location, verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures, and document visitor, vendor, and vehicle activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate contacts and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Prepare accurate reports and logs of patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
