Allied Universal in Rancho Cordova, CA is seeking a Part Time Security Guard (Unarmed Deterrence Patrol) to protect clients across logistics and distribution sites. You will patrol, deter incidents, and provide excellent customer service while reporting observations.

The role offers a flexible part-time schedule with night shifts; pay rate is $21.00 per hour. A guard card or license is preferred, and candidates must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma.

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, background investigation will be conducted.
• Allied Universal may consider applicants with criminal histories per law.
• A drug screen will be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading areas, warehouse spaces, parking areas, entry points, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and help maintain orderly vehicle, visitor, and employee traffic flow.
• Complete required activity reports, incident reports, and shift documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
