Allied Universal in Glendale, CA is seeking a Security Officer (Full Time, Unarmed Patrol Deterrence). You will serve and safeguard campus clients, monitor entrances, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents while delivering professional customer service.

The role requires at least 6 months security experience, a high school diploma, and the ability to pass background checks and a drug screen. Workdays are day shifts, with a 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM schedule, paying $21 per hour.

Qualifications

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and school community members while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and notification procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor activity in accordance with school site procedures, directing individuals to appropriate locations when needed.
• Document and report observed incidents, hazards, and security-related concerns to appropriate site personnel and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
