Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Customer Engagement in Springfield, VA. You will serve clients, conduct patrols, monitor access points, and help deter security incidents while delivering excellent customer service.

As part of a logistics and distribution site, you will document activities using computer or tablet tools, follow post orders, and participate in a team-driven culture that values integrity, reliability, and innovation on every shift.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• As a condition of employment, background investigation will be conducted.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing may be required by state/local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by following procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of distribution areas, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Monitor access to the location, verify credentials, and report suspicious activity.
• Respond to incidents calmly and follow post orders and escalation protocols.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and required documentation.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. Pay Rate: $14.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Thur: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Fri: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sat: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sun: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of distribution areas, loading docks, parking areas, access points, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report suspicious activity or access concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation protocols.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortability using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
