Job summary

Allied Universal, North America's leading security and facility services company, seeks a Full Time Security Officer (Unarmed Patrol CPR Readiness) in Leesburg, VA. You will monitor and patrol the technology and media site, provide courteous customer service to employees and visitors, and deter security incidents with a visible presence.

You will respond to incidents, verify credentials, and communicate observations to site leadership while following established procedures.

Qualifications

• CPR certification preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Guard card/license preferred.
• Ability to lift 20+ pounds preferred.
• Proficiency with computer or tablet preferred.
• 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors following site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and access concerns with calm, professional judgment.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of the facility, offices, common areas, parking areas.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, directing guests per procedures.
• Document observations and incidents, and relay information to leadership.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology and media location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, offices, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and assist with directing guests in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity accurately, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
