Qualifications

• At least two years of security-related experience.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check per federal/state/local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, promptly notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of utility facilities, buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation in accordance with site procedures.
• Support the protection of critical utility infrastructure by reporting suspicious activity and following established escalation protocols.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
