Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrolin Elkridge, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer in a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will communicate professionally, respond to alarms and evolving situations, and contribute to a reliable, caring team culture. Pay Rate: $19.61 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the building, parking areas, entrances, loading areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and help maintain orderly entry and exit procedures.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable use of a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
