Allied Universal in Miami, FL is seeking a Security Officer for a full-time, unarmed patrol role at a premier commercial real estate location. You will perform access control, routine patrols, respond to alarms, and deliver excellent customer service to residents, tenants, visitors, and vendors.

Position details include a full-time schedule with Monday–Saturday shifts from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, and a pay rate of $19.50 per hour. This role emphasizes safety, integrity, reliability and teamwork.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background checks and drug screen required.
• A valid driver’s license where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, tenants, visitors, and vendors by following site-specific procedures and access-control protocols.
• Conduct regular and random foot and vehicle patrols of building common areas, parking facilities, entrances, exits, perimeters and amenities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and report suspicious activity or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms and emergencies with calm, professional problem-solving and document observations.
• Maintain a professional presence and communicate clearly with property management and emergency responders.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, tenants, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of building common areas, parking facilities, entrances, exits, perimeter areas, and amenity spaces to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and complete required incident reports.
• Maintain a professional presence while communicating clearly with property management, emergency responders, and the public in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
