Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Unarmed Mobile Patrol) in Kings Mountain, NC. You will perform routine unarmed patrols in manufacturing and industrial settings, provide exceptional customer service to clients and staff, and support access control and site procedures to deter security incidents.

You will prepare clear reports, communicate findings to leaders, and uphold teamwork, reliability, and a people-first culture in a dynamic workplace.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subjected to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subjected to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout manufacturing and industrial areas, including building interiors, exterior grounds, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and vehicle traffic in accordance with site procedures; report unusual conditions to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and contacting emergency services when needed.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, and observations, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
