Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Driver Patrol Observation in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic data center location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. This driving position requires a valid driver's license. You will support security-related operations through clear communication, computer or tablet use, and teamwork while representing Allied Universal's agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and integrity-driven culture.

Pay Rate: $21.79 / Hour

• Mon: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Wed: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Thur: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Fri: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sun: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or vendors at a technology data center by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of data center facilities, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access control points, visitor activity, and delivery areas in accordance with site policies; verify credentials and maintain required logs and documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Support the protection of critical technology infrastructure by reporting maintenance concerns, access irregularities, and other security-related issues according to established procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
