Job summary

Allied Universal in Columbus, OH is seeking a Security Guard Full Time Unarmed Patrol Visitor Assistance. You will monitor and protect client sites, deter incidents, and assist visitors while upholding site policies and reporting safety concerns.

This role requires a high school diploma, 18+ years old, background check and drug screen per policy. Shifts are Monday through Thursday, 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM, at a fast-paced logistics location with opportunities for training and career growth.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating information according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of warehouse areas, loading docks, trailer yards, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor, employee, and delivery traffic in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities in required reports and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or emergency responders.
