Job summary

Allied Universal in Memphis is seeking a full-time Security Officer (Unarmed) to monitor and protect client locations in a dynamic, customer-focused environment. You will patrol areas, control access, and provide professional service to employees and visitors while upholding site policies.

Minimum requirements include one year of security experience and a high school diploma. The position offers training, benefits, and opportunities for career growth within Allied Universal.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Experience in a primarily driving post is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate at a technology, media, and telecommunications location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and report unusual conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Document patrols, incidents, and other security-related observations in accordance with site procedures.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents. You will support access control activities, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and provide exceptional customer service.
