Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Customer Service Patrol in Homewood, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a hotel or resort location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming guest experience. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally with guests and staff, document security-related activity using a computer or tablet, and represent Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, care, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and staff while carrying out security-related procedures, property policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of hotel common areas, parking areas, entrances, exits, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify unusual activity or property concerns.
• Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site-specific protocols.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the property, documenting and reporting incidents, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Support a welcoming environment by providing directions, assisting with visitor inquiries, and maintaining a professional presence during varied shifts and conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
