Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, seeks a Security Officer (Unarmed) for our Columbia, SC location. You will patrol, deter security incidents, and provide excellent customer service to employees and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a financial services location by following security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and access concerns in a calm, professional manner.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas to identify and report unusual activity.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and report unauthorized access attempts.
• Complete incident reports and logs and communicate observations to site contacts.

Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Tue 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Fri 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Sat 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Sun 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors at a financial services location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials in accordance with site procedures, and report unauthorized access attempts or policy violations.
• Complete accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation while communicating observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
