Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer in Fremont, CA to guard and protect client locations across varied industries, including automotive. You will patrol, deter incidents, and provide excellent service while remaining vigilant and compliant with site policies.

The role is full-time with night shifts and requires a minimum of 1 year in security, HS diploma, and the ability to obtain necessary licenses; CPR is preferred and drug screening may apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies at an automotive manufacturing location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly following site procedures and escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of manufacturing areas, parking areas, access points and perimeter.
• Monitor access, verify visitor/contractor authorization, and document entries and observations per site requirements.
• Communicate clearly with employees, visitors, contractors and leadership to maintain a professional environment.

Job Schedule:

• Wed 11:00 PM - 07:30 AM
• Thur 11:00 PM - 07:30 AM
• Fri 11:00 PM - 07:30 AM
• Sat 11:00 PM - 07:30 AM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an automotive manufacturing location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of manufacturing areas, parking areas, access points, and the property perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and document entries, incidents, and observations according to site requirements.
• Support a professional environment by communicating clearly with employees, visitors, contractors, and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
