• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers by carrying out site-specific security procedures and access screening.
• Screen individuals and items entering the location using established procedures and equipment; escalate suspicious items as needed.
• Monitor entry points, credential status, and visitor authorization to maintain controlled access.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies; notify site contacts and emergency services.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry areas and spaces; report security concerns.

As a Security Officer Full Time Screening Intake in Kansas City, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener in a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will help create a welcoming, secure environment by screening visitors and/or materials, monitoring access points, and reporting security-related concerns. What You\'ll Do

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access screening protocols, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen individuals and authorized items entering the technology-focused location using established procedures and security-related equipment, escalating prohibited or suspicious items in accordance with site policies.
• Monitor entry points, credential status, and visitor authorization to help maintain controlled access to restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency services when directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entry areas, business spaces, and perimeter locations, reporting observed security-related concerns according to site procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
