• Maintain a orderly entry area and deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.

As a Screener at a government services location, you will help support a secure and welcoming environment by screening visitors, monitoring access points, and communicating professionally with staff and the public. You will remain visible to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and document activities using site technology. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $22.06 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue: 07:00 AM - 05:00 PM
• Wed: 07:00 AM - 05:00 PM
• Thur: 07:00 AM - 05:00 PM
• Fri: 07:00 AM - 05:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, clients, and staff while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen visitors, guests, and authorized personnel entering the government services location; verify identification, review access requirements, and direct individuals to appropriate service areas.
• Operate screening equipment and conduct visual inspections of permitted items in accordance with post orders and applicable procedures.
• Respond to incidents, prohibited-item concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activity as required.
• Maintain an orderly entry area, communicate clearly with diverse populations, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
