Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Security Officer Full Time Screening in Spartanburg, SC to protect clients across Tech/Media/Telecom sectors and other industries, providing friendly, professional service.

You will screen personnel and visitors, monitor access points, and report concerns, while maintaining a visible presence and supporting incident deterrence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Background check will be conducted in accordance with applicable laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-screening protocols, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, packages, and deliveries in accordance with site policies; verify credentials and entry requirements before access.
• Monitor entry points and screening equipment, identify prohibited items, and report irregularities to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies in a calm, problem-solving manner following established procedures.
• Maintain records of visitor activity, screening results, incidents, and daily operations; conduct patrols of entrances and screening areas.

Pay Rate: $17.51 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Tue: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Wed: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Thur: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, access‑screening protocols, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, packages, and deliveries in accordance with site policies; verify credentials, visitor authorizations, and entry requirements before permitting access.
• Monitor entry points and screening equipment, identify prohibited or unauthorized items, and report irregularities or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established escalation and emergency response procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of visitor activity, screening results, incidents, and daily operations; conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entrances, screening areas, and nearby perimeter locations as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
