Security Officer Full Time Rotating Position Summary

Security Officers (Unarmed Security) are instrumental in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our employees, patients, physicians, students, vendors, and visitors by monitoring and patrolling our facilities. Officers demonstrate exceptional customer service while providing assistance with disruptive incidents, emergency services, personal protection, and traffic/parking control.

SPECIAL SKILLS:

• Ability to perform continuous physical exertion activities (going up and down multiple flights of stairs, standing and walking for extended periods, carrying people in emergency situations, etc.), as needed.
• Must meet all physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation. May require annual fitness for duty assessment.
• Must be able to perform duties while wearing personal protective equipment (Masks, gowns, security-related equipment, etc.), as required.
• May be required to undergo annual background checks in accordance with company policy.
• Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the public professionally and effectively.
• Ability to use initiative and independent judgment.
• Ability to prepare written reports and provide quality customer service regularly.
• Ability to handle both common and crisis situations calmly and efficiently.
• Must have a working knowledge of, or ability to quickly learn, security software, CCTV, alarm technologies, and access control systems.
• Strong knowledge of relevant laws, investigations, and law enforcement procedures.
• Ability to manage complex projects, including managing timelines, resources, and quality deliverables.

Security Personnel

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum Education: High school diploma or GED required, or equivalent experience (two to three years in a security role, law enforcement, military background, or strong customer service roles with willingness to learn security practices).
• Minimum Experience: Three or more years in progressively responsible leadership roles.
• Required Certifications/Licensure: Ability to obtain and maintain appropriate state licenses/certifications. Crisis Intervention Certification preferred or ability to obtain within six months of employment. Must maintain a valid state driver’s license and meet company driving record requirements.
