Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Full Time Patrol Tablet Reporting) in Palo Alto, CA to monitor and protect a commercial real estate site. You will perform unarmed patrols, maintain a visible presence, and provide excellent tenant and visitor service, while following site procedures and reporting incidents.

This role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to respond to emergencies calmly.

Qualifications

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and property management personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial real estate buildings, common areas, parking facilities, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services when needed.
• Monitor access points, observe visitor and vendor activity, and support compliance with property entry requirements and site policies.
• Document patrol activities, incidents, maintenance concerns, and security-related observations accurately in required reports and logs.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.


• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.


• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.


• Customer service experience is preferred.


• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
