Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a full-time Security Officer in Culpeper, VA to perform patrols and protect clients across tech, media, and telecom locations. You will provide professional customer service, monitor access, report incidents, and respond calmly to emergencies.

Candidates should have at least 6 months security experience, a high school diploma, and be willing to undergo background checks and drug screening.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of security-related experience required.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at a technology and data infrastructure location by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility interior, exterior, access points, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Monitor access control points, visitor activity, and deliveries; document entries, incidents, and observations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations following escalation and emergency protocols.
• Communicate professionally with site contacts, emergency responders, and leadership regarding security concerns and maintenance issues.

Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

• Mon 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Tue 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Fri 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Sat 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Sun 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at a technology and data infrastructure location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility interior, exterior, access points, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control points, visitor activity, and deliveries in accordance with site procedures, documenting entries, incidents, and observations accurately.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and emergency response protocols.
• Communicate professionally with site contacts, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership regarding security-related concerns, maintenance issues, and incident updates.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
