Position Title: Security Officer (Full Time/Part Time), Knoxville Area Sites

Job Description:

The Security Officer shall maintain a working knowledge of and comply with all LMU handbooks. The Security Officer will be responsible for conducting daily activities to ensure a secure campus environment.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma
• Valid driver’s license
• Must pass a psychological evaluation according to state requirements
• Must successfully pass a background check
• If applying for an armed position, applicant must be 21 years or older

Preferred Qualifications:

• Law Enforcement and/or security training

Physical Demands:

Job Duties:

• Conduct regular security rounds of all property
• Maintain security of all keys and access points
• Research and report crimes and incidents
• Submit tracking and incident reports in the RMS system
• Address observed policy violations
• Report maintenance and grounds issues
• Conduct traffic safety activities and issue citations
• React quickly to emergencies and threats
