Job summary

Allied Universal in New Haven, WV is seeking a Security Guard to cover full-time, temporary assignments. You will patrol designated areas on foot or by vehicle, monitor for security concerns, respond to emergencies, and assist staff and guests with professionalism.

Eligible candidates may need a high school diploma or 5 years of verifiable experience, plus background checks and drug screening as required. Training is provided and uniforms/equipment are supplied.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or 5 years verifiable experience.
• Background check required by federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols on foot or in vehicle.
• Monitor for irregular or unsafe conditions and respond accordingly.
• Sound alarms or call police/fire as needed.
• Control entry points and monitor entrances/exits.
• Investigate incidents and maintain post logs.
• Assist customers, employees and visitors politely.
• Communicate effectively and document incidents.
