Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer to protect and serve at a Hebron, KY tech/telecom site. This full-time overnight role involves patrolling, responding to incidents, and providing exceptional customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors.

You will maintain a visible security presence, verify credentials, and follow site procedures, while supporting a welcoming environment and teamwork-driven culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screen will be conducted as required by law.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors by following site policies and security procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and access-related concerns calmly and per site protocols.
• Conduct regular patrols of buildings and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and maintain logs and incident reports.
• Communicate observed conditions or security issues to site contacts and supervision.

Pay Rate: $18.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Thur: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Fri: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sat: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sun: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, common areas, parking areas, loading zones, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
• Communicate observed conditions, suspicious activity, and maintenance or security-related concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
