Job summary

Allied Universal, North America's leading security and facility services company, invites you to join as a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol in Evanston, IL. This role offers fixed shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts via our scheduling platform, designed to provide reliable hours and income stability.

Pay rate is $20.50 per hour. You will perform customer service, conduct unarmed patrols, monitor access points, and respond to incidents following site procedures,

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation conducted as a condition of employment.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing may be required prior to employment; driver's license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a financial institution following security procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms and access concerns calmly and follow escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of the facility, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Monitor entry/exit points and verify authorized access according to site procedures.
• Document patrols and incidents accurately for site reporting requirements.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol in Evanston, IL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $20.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue 09:00 AM - 05:00 PM


• Thur 09:00 AM - 05:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (\"Anchor Shifts\"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.


• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a financial institution by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.


• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established escalation procedures.


• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.


• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access as directed by site procedures, and maintain awareness of visitor, employee, and vendor activity.


• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security‑related concerns accurately and promptly in accordance with Allied Universal and site reporting requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
