Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for a full-time unarmed patrol position in Sanford, North Carolina. You will protect clients across manufacturing and industrial sites, perform routine patrols, deter incidents, and document security activity using available technology.

Ideal candidates have customer service experience; CPR certification and computer/tablet familiarity are preferred. You must be at least 18 years old, with a high school diploma, and pass background and drug-screen

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouse spaces, offices, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, directing visitors and deliveries, and documenting entries and exits in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and complete required reports.
• Observe and report security-related conditions, property damage, suspicious activity, and policy violations to site management and/or Allied Universal leadership.

What You’ll Do

Minimum Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
