Job summary

Allied Universal in Somerset, NJ is seeking a Security Officer for full-time emergency response duties at a financial institution. You will monitor access, patrol facilities, and provide customer service to employees and visitors while upholding site policies.

The role requires 18+ (21+ for armed), a high school diploma, background check, and drug screening. Day-to-day shifts include 11:00 PM to 07:00 AM with pay at $21 per hour, and opportunities for training and advancement.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain logs and documentation in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, promptly communicating observations to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of office areas, parking facilities, and the business perimeter to identify and report unusual conditions or policy concerns.
• Support a professional, controlled environment by helping to deter unauthorized access and maintaining awareness of security-related activities throughout the location.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
