The Role

Under the supervision of the Security Department, the Security Officer I performs security services by interacting with the public, patients, and staff. Responsibilities include providing security at designated areas, responding to incidents, assisting with access, reporting suspicious activity, and ensuring safety for all.

Key Responsibilities

• Support departmental policies and decisions
• Respond to alarms and emergencies appropriately
• Operate security systems and equipment
• Provide assistance such as security escorts and event coordination

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• IAHSS Basic Training certification or equivalent
• Applicable driver's license and clean driving record
• Ability to pass departmental testing (mental, physical, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• De-escalation certification
• Class D Security license (Florida)
