Job summary

Sagewood, located in the NE Phoenix valley, seeks a Security Officer and EMT to join a family-oriented community. You will patrol, assist residents, and respond to medical emergencies using EMT skills, including CPR/First Aid. The role includes a $2/hour night differential and a Sunday-Thursday night schedule.

Qualifications

• AZ EMT CERTIFICATE is preferred and licensed in Arizona.
• One year of security experience is required.
• CPR, BLS and First Aid certifications are preferred.
• Arizona DPS unarmed guard certification is helpful and can be assisted.
• Must have a valid driver license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and patrol the property to ensure safety for residents, guests, and staff.
• Escort and assist residents and guests as needed and respond to emergencies as first responder EMT.
• Triage emergencies using EMT skills and perform CPR/First Aid when required.
• Handle minor emergency maintenance and protect community assets.

Joining our Security team, your role will be responsible for ensuring we provide the highest level of safety and security for our residents, guests, and staff. You will do this by monitoring and patrolling our property, escorting/assisting residents and guests as needed, and more! You will be a first responder to all emergency medical situations. Using your EMT skills, you will triage the situation and perform necessary CPR and/or First Aid. In addition to protecting the assets of our community (patrol), you will handle minor emergency maintenance.

Who You Are

• AZ EMT CERTIFICATE Licensed in Arizona – this is preferred not required
• Has the ability to obtain an Arizona Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card (we can help with the obtaining the card)
• FLU SHOT REQUIRED!!
• Have a High school Diploma or GED
• Has one year security experience
• Have a valid driver license with satisfactory driving record.
• Have a CPR, BLS, First Aid certification prior to start date.
• Arizona DPS unarmed guard certification (we can assist with this certification).
• Can effectively and calmly communicate orally and in writing in English and make rational decisions in critical situations

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

• Ability to walk inside and outside of the Sagewood campus and stand and/or climb stairs approximately 75% of each shift. Must be able to lift and carry up to fifty (50) pounds. Must be able to transport residents via wheelchair or other devices for up to 250 pounds. Requires manual coordination to operate telephones, radio, computer, and other business equipment. Normal vision and hearing required. May be exposed to communicable diseases including influenza, HIV and Hepatitis. May be exposed to unpleasant odors, high heat levels, and institutional cleaning chemicals. Compliance with LCE COVID-19 Vaccination Policy is required for this position for all LCS Community employees.
