Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for a full-time role in Los Angeles, CA. You will monitor and patrol commercial real estate locations, respond to incidents, and maintain a visible security presence while delivering excellent customer service.

Requirements include 2+ years in security, a high school diploma, and always adhering to site policies. Guard Card/licensing and CPR are preferred. A background check and drug screen are required where applicable.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of security-related experience.
• Guard Card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation as per laws.
• Drug screen as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of building areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity according to site procedures.
• Document incidents and daily activities accurately and promptly per Allied Universal/site requirements.

Join Allied Universal as a Security Officer supporting a commercial real estate location. Monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. Pay Rate: $22.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 05:00 PM - 01:00 AM
• Tue: 05:00 PM - 01:00 AM
• Sat: 09:00 AM - 05:00 PM
• Sun: 09:00 AM - 05:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, communicating observations to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of building common areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures, providing directions and assistance as needed.
• Document incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately and promptly in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess two or more years of security-related experience.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
