Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, seeks a Security Officer to perform unarmed patrols in a hospital setting in Delray Beach, FL. You will deliver customer service to patients, visitors, and staff, maintain a visible security presence, and respond to incidents following established protocols.

Position is Full Time with day-evening schedule and comprehensive safety procedures. A strong emphasis on teamwork, integrity, and community service guides daily operations.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Must meet hospital vaccine requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility grounds, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, verifying authorization as directed, and providing directions or escorts to patients, visitors, and staff when needed.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site personnel.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Must meet hospital vaccine requirements.
• Must be able to work in a hospital morgue.
• Must be able to restrain individuals.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
