As a Security Officer Full Time Hospital Access Patrol in Bronx, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare setting, you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, support access control and badge procedures, and provide outstanding customer service to patients, visitors, and staff. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $17.87 - $18.87 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 03:30 PM - 12:00 AM
• Tue 03:30 PM - 12:00 AM
• Wed 03:30 PM - 12:00 AM
• Thur 03:30 PM - 12:00 AM
• Fri 03:30 PM - 12:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare facilities, surrounding grounds, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor screening, credential verification, and directions in accordance with facility procedures.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
• Document observations, incidents, and security-related concerns accurately and promptly in accordance with established reporting procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Vaccinations are required for hospital assignments.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
