Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Gatekeeper in Kansas City, MO. You will manage site entry, verify badges, monitor access points, and provide excellent service to employees and visitors in an industrial setting.

You will document activity with computer or tablet systems and support a welcoming, secure environment. The role requires a background check and may include a drug screen, with full-time hours and $19.69 per hour.

Qualifications

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• A background check is required by law.
• A drug screen may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and contractors while carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at an industrial location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue access badges as directed, and maintain accurate visitor and contractor logs.
• Control access to restricted areas, loading docks, and operational spaces in accordance with site requirements, helping to deter unauthorized entry.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, business areas, and the perimeter, reporting security-related concerns, damaged access equipment, and unusual activity.

• Fri 12:00 PM - 08:00 PM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
