Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, contractors, and vendors by enforcing access-control procedures and site policies.
• Monitor entry/exit points, verify access, and maintain visitor and contractor records.
• Respond calmly to access-related incidents and notify appropriate personnel or responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of community entrances, common areas, parking locations, and perimeter areas.
• Observe and report security-related conditions and equipment issues per site procedures.

As a Security Officer Full Time Gated Community in Irvine, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will manage visitor and credential access, monitor entry points, and support a welcoming environment for residents, guests, and staff. You will remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, communicate professionally, and deliver responsive customer service. Position Type: Full Time / Garveyard Shift

Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Tue 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Wed 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Thu 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify visitor and vendor access authorization, and maintain required visitor, delivery, and contractor records.
• Respond to access-related incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as directed by site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of community entrances, common areas, parking locations, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Observe and report security-related conditions, access-control equipment issues, and unusual activity in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
