Job summary

Allied Universal in Burbank, CA is hiring a Security Officer for Front Desk Access Management. You will greet visitors, verify IDs, manage badges, monitor lobby activity, and coordinate with tenants and site personnel to maintain a safe, welcoming environment.

This full-time role requires customer service experience and comfort using computers, with preference for security licenses and alarm system familiarity; a background check will be conducted.

Qualifications

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable use of a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, background investigation will be conducted.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories as permitted by law.
• A drug screen may be required.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or vendors at a commercial real estate location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Staff the front desk and serve as a professional point of contact, greeting visitors, verifying identification and authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and directing guests to appropriate areas.
• Monitor lobby activity, access points, alarm notifications, and/or surveillance systems, reporting unusual activity or maintenance concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting events as required.
• Maintain accurate visitor logs, delivery records, incident reports, and other security-related documentation while supporting a welcoming, orderly reception environment.

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable use of a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
