Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Entry Permit Processing in Detroit, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Security Officer with Allied Universal at a technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will help manage access points, verify credentials, monitor entry activity, and communicate professionally with employees, visitors, and stakeholders. You will help maintain an orderly environment while delivering exceptional customer service. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site‑specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue temporary access credentials, and maintain accurate access-related logs in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, restricted areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify unusual conditions.
• Communicate professionally with site stakeholders and Allied Universal leadership while documenting incidents, observations, and policy violations in required reports.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
