Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Driving Role in Normal, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at an automotive location, you will conduct routine vehicle patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to alarms, and deliver outstanding customer service. Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed: 01:30 PM - 10:00 PM
• Thur: 01:30 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri: 01:30 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sat: 01:30 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at an automotive manufacturing and operations location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, offices, parking areas, entrances, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for employees, contractors, deliveries, and visitors in accordance with site procedures.
• Document patrols, incidents, and observations accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
