Allied Universal in Tampa, FL is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Driver to safeguard clients across Retail/Malls and other settings. You will patrol, monitor, and provide excellent customer service while upholding the company's values.

A valid driver’s license is required; applicants must be 18+ (21+ for armed roles); high school diploma; background check and drug screen will be conducted in accordance with applicable laws.

Qualifications

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, tenants, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents calmly and professionally, notifying appropriate personnel and emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the retail property, including common areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations to site leadership.
• Assist with maintaining orderly operations during peak shopping periods, special events, and tenant-related activities.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Driver in Tampa, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Security Officer at a retail and mall location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally, and support a welcoming environment while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-oriented, and integrity-driven values.

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, tenants, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail property, including common areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the property, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations to site leadership.
• Assist with maintaining orderly operations during peak shopping periods, special events, and tenant-related activities.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
