Qualifications

• Guard Card or license preferred.

• Drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

As a Security Officer Full Time Data Center in Somerset, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Security Officer supporting a leading financial institution. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Tue: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Wed: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sat: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Sun: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of business areas, entry points, and the perimeter, reporting observed conditions and unusual activity.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
• Support a professional environment by communicating clearly with employees, visitors, and emergency responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
