Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Credential Validation in Kansas City, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and provide exceptional customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers. You will maintain a visible presence, communicate professionally, and help support a secure environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and personnel at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor and vehicle entry records, and direct authorized individuals to designated areas.
• Observe inbound and outbound vehicle traffic, report irregularities, and help to deter unauthorized access to the facility, trailer yard, and restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking locations, and the perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
