Qualifications

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, students, staff, and guests while performing site-specific security procedures and emergency responses as appropriate.
• Screen individuals entering the location, verify credentials/visitor authorization, and communicate entry requirements professionally.
• Monitor entry points and report suspicious activity, prohibited items, or access concerns per site policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry areas and nearby perimeter locations.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $19.61 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 01:30 PM - 08:30 PM
• Tue: 01:30 PM - 08:30 PM
• Wed: 01:30 PM - 08:30 PM
• Thur: 01:30 PM - 08:30 PM
• Fri: 10:00 AM - 06:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, students, staff, and guests while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, screening protocols, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen individuals entering the location, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and communicate entry requirements in a courteous, professional manner.
• Monitor entry points and report suspicious activity, prohibited items, or access concerns to appropriate personnel according to site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and documenting observations as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entry areas and nearby perimeter locations, with working environments and conditions varying by site.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Have customer service experience, preferred.
• Have alarm panel experience, preferred.
• Have access control or badge experience, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
