Job summary

Allied Universal in Burbank, CA seeks a Security Officer Full Time Lobby Concierge to warmly welcome visitors, manage access, monitor security systems, and respond to incidents with professional service.

You will work at a busy retail location, Thur-Sun 4:00 PM–12:00 AM, earning $19.50 per hour; on-site with benefits, training provided, and opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• A state, county, or city-issued security professional license is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background checks and drug screen as per law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service at the front desk of a retail and mall location by following site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response protocols.
• Greet visitors, tenants, vendors, and contractors; verify access credentials; maintain visitor logs; and direct individuals to appropriate areas.
• Monitor access points, cameras, alarms, and other security-related systems from a stationary front desk post; report unusual activity or maintenance concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services when needed.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and other required records while providing a professional presence that helps to deter unauthorized activity.

What You'll Do

Minimum Requirements

• A state, county, or city-issued security professional license is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
