Job summary

Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Security Officer Full Time - Badging in Portland, OR. You will monitor and patrol facilities, manage access control, and deliver customer service to clients in aerospace/defense locations.

The role requires at least one year of security experience; CPR/First Aid preferred, plus badge access familiarity. Shift schedule is Mon–Fri 5:00 AM–1:30 PM and pay is $26.02 per hour.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond to emergency situations per site protocols.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of facilities, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, reporting suspicious conditions or violations as required.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications per site requirements.

What You'll Do:

• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, controlled-access areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and report suspicious conditions or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
