Responsibilities

• Conduct regular armed patrols of buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials, and document visitor activity and incidents.
• Maintain professional armed presence and complete required reports and communications.

Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 05:45 AM - 06:00 PM
• Tue: 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sun: 05:45 AM - 06:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and document visitor activity, incidents, and observations in accordance with site procedures.
• Maintain a professional armed presence while operating assigned equipment and completing required reports, logs, and communications.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
