Job summary

Allied Universal in New Orleans, LA is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Armed Patrol Hazard Prevention. You will monitor commercial real estate locations, deter incidents, and respond professionally to alarms and incidents, while delivering excellent customer service to tenants and visitors.

Ideal candidates hold an armed guard card/license, are 21+, and commit to background checks and drug screening. We offer a daytime schedule, comprehensive training, and benefits as part of a dynamic team

Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Armed Patrol Hazard Prevention in New Orleans, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol commercial real estate locations, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will respond to situations with professionalism, communicate clearly with tenants and visitors, and provide exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or authorized personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at commercial real estate locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, access points, and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to the property, verify credentials as required, and maintain awareness of visitor, vendor, and delivery activity in accordance with site policies.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and/or unusual activity accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
