What will you be doing in this role?

• Maintaining a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, employees, and staff.
• Patrolling facilities and implementing hospital safety and security policies.
• Monitoring alarms and closed-circuit television systems, and assisting in both non-emergency and emergency situations.
• Responding promptly to all emergencies and providing detailed, timely reports to the watch commander.
• Providing escort services and ensuring the safety of others.

Security Officers may work in various environments, including:

• Outdoor conditions such as cold, rain, or heat.
• Extended shifts during emergency situations.
• All areas of the medical center, including interstitial spaces.

Educational Requirements: High school diploma or GED required.

Licenses: California Guard Card required.

Experience: Typing skills for preparing computer-based incident reports and logs; effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with all levels of personnel, the public, and patients.

Physical Demands: Standing or walking constantly on various surfaces, climbing stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally, running as needed, bending, twisting, lifting up to 80 lbs, and working in personal protective equipment.
