You will document security activities, operate on a schedule including days and evenings, and collaborate with a team that prioritizes people and integrity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check required.
• Drug screen required as applicable by law.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a technology-focused location; follow site policies and respond to emergencies as needed.
• Conduct regular foot and vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas; identify and report issues.
• Monitor access to restricted areas; verify credentials and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and document reports.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol in Lexington, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment. You will use strong customer service and communication skills to assist visitors and personnel, document security-related activity using computer or tablet tools, and collaborate with a reliable, innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Pay Rate: $17.63 / Hour

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and complete required reports.
• Maintain detailed activity logs and incident documentation, and communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
